Softpedia has recently put up an article about their new software, Play Linux. Play Linux is intended to supply necessary drivers, wine, winetricks, Play on Linux, Play Linux Kosmos and other software to make gaming life easier.
Play Linux is based on Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS, Trusty Tahr, but does not use Unity. The developers “adopted Cinnamon, which is a bit lighter and more friendly towards people who previously used a Windows system.”
Play Linux Alpha 3 is now available for download. The standard warning applies – do not use it on production machines.
