Saucy Salamander Alpha 2 Released for Flavors

Saucy Salamander Alpha 2 has been released for use by testers and other courageous people.  The flavors that are included are Kubuntu, Lubuntu, Xubuntu, Ubuntu Gnome, and Ubuntu Kylin.

Pre-releases of Saucy are not recommended for people who are using production systems, or for those who don’t have tolerance for breakage.  However, if you would like to help out the developers by testing and reporting bugs, alphas may be for you.

Ubuntu 13.10 itself is not being released in an alpha version.  To test it, you still need to click on Alt + F2 and type in “update-manager -d” (without the quotes) and follow the on-screen instructions.  Saucy hosed my system a couple of days ago, so just be forewarned.

Thanks for the heads up. You are braver than I. I only do betas and then only in VMs.
